About Manuel Allende

A hymn to the beauty of the landscape, ancient cities with their chromatic vitality, with that luminous atmosphere typical of the Caribbean and Europe. This is the work of Manuel Allende, an artist from Matanzas, who paints in a realistic style with impressive notes, urban views and still lifes, full of life.

His paintings are rich in details and textures. He works with oil or acrylic on canvas using the spatula in addition to the brush, which allows him, through concentrations of matter, to emphasize some surfaces over others. Something that it also achieves with the projection of light on the colorful architecture of its various cities around the world. The lighting effects highlight the edges of the buildings and their vivid tones in vibrant environments.

This richness of nuances, the quality of the interior drawing of the painting and the wise management of light and color have made the author worthy of the awards granted by the Provincial Council of Plastic Arts (CPAP) and the Cuban Association of Artisans and Artists (ACAA) at the Leopoldo Romañach Landscape Hall, in its XI and XII editions respectively.

Allende has participated in various group exhibitions since 1992 and individual exhibitions (in the Plaza de América galleries, in Varadero, and Polivalente, in Matanzas, in 2008 and 2010), and is the author of murals for important hotels such as the Tryp Peninsula and the Barceló in Varadero.

Now in Europe he exhibits in various important cities, with SPAIN as his headquarters, where he impacts the entire world with his art.
